If in Dan Brown' s " The Lost Symbol" the video were leaked would it really cause uproar?

The book begins with Sato repeatedly warning Langdon about what she believes is a national crisis. For some reason she doesn't simply explain the situation. It turns out that all the fuss was about a video of Mason rituals. The video included some of America's top officials. If leaked, they believed that it would bring the world into uproar and chaos. This I find hard to believe. Really would it?

I wish the video actually did get leaked. That would make for a far more interesting ending.

What is a VPN?

VPN is (Virtual Private Network) were first used by companies to enable their employees to securely access internal systems such as email remotely (e.g. from home or while on business trips). Today they are increasingly being used for personal use by individuals to protect their privacy while online in public places (e.g. when using the wi-fi connection in a cafe) or in a country where the internet is censored / blocked (e.g. China, Saudi Arabia…).
